Biography of Comedian Raju Srivastava

Satya Prakash Srivastava (25 December 1963 – 21 September 2022), known professionally as Raju Srivastava and often known as Gajodhar, was an Indian comedian, actor, and politician. He ventured into stand-up comedy with the talent show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, ending as second runner-up, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge – Champions, in which he won the title. “King of Comedy”.

Srivastava married Shikha of Lucknow on 1 July 1993 and they have two children Antara and Ayushmann. In 2010, Srivastava received threatening calls from Pakistan, warning him not to make fun of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and Pakistan during his show.

Srivastava also participated in Big Brother (franchise), the Indian equivalent of Bigg Boss (Hindi Season 3). He later participated in the comedy show Comedy Ka Maha Muqabla.

He died on 21 September 2022 at around 10:20 am.

Raju Srivastava started his career with small roles in Bollywood films. He played Rajshri Productions’ Maine Pyaar Kiya [5] and other minor roles in films such as Baazigar and Bombay to Goa. [1] He worked as an actor and comedian in the Bollywood film Aamdani Athani Kharcha Rupaiya.


In 2013, Raju and his wife participated in Nach Baliye Season 6, a duet dance show on StarPlus. Comedian Raju has also appeared in Sony TV’s popular show Comedy Nights with Kapil. He also appeared in a show called Joke Mein aka ‘The Indian Joke League’. This stand-up comedy show used to air on Life OK. Raju Srivastava’s last life

As usual on 10th August 2022, Raju Srivastava was working out in the gym. Then he suffered a heart attack and was admitted to Delhi AIIMS. He underwent angioplasty after suffering a heart attack and was put on a ventilator. Raju Srivastava’s health showed slight improvement after being hospitalized for more than a month following the attack, while Raju’s health deteriorated earlier this week. And on Wednesday, 21 September 2022, he died in Delhi at the age of 58.

Celebrities from the industry and their comedian friends have condoled the comedian’s demise. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, lyricist Manoj Muntashir and actor Rajpal Yadav among others paid tributes to Raju Srivastava.
